Safe Walking with Constable Jos

Constable Jos came to Room 4 as part of our Road Safety Programme. We covered safe walking. We learned that we need to walk on the fence side of the footpath, look out for sneaky driveways, take a step back from the kerb to look before crossing the road. Our poenm says "Stop, look, and listen before you cross the street, use your eyes, and use your ears, before you use your feet!" Constable Jos also talked about bus safety. Please if your child uses the bus you wait on the side of the road they embark or disembark on, children have been taught not to move until the bus is at least two paddocks away because only then can they clearly see the road and listen to hear if traffic is coming.
