Kaniere School had a muftil day to sponsor Ms Barrow and Mrs Schroder for the Polar Plunge at Karoro Beach on Sunday. Funds raised are going to the Life Education Trust. We think Harold needs more hay or perhaps some trees to eat!

Our Trip to the Library

We went to the Library with Room 5 to mark New Zealand Book Awards Week. Lauren, the Children's Librarian, read us 'Finding Monkey Moon' and 'Stripes or Spots'. We went on a treasure hunt around the library looking for clues to find Monkey Moon and decorated animals for the fashion parade in a mixture of spots and stripes.

Thank you so much to those parents who provided transport and to the library staff for hosting us.

Gymnastics with Helen

At PE on Monday Helen taught us some gymnastics moves. We learnt how to do a pike, a tuck , stretch, and a straddle. look at our great moves!

Word Rockets Week 5

Wow, our Word Writing Champions have been running hot! Our Queen for this week is Esther and Sone is her delightful princess. King for this week is Will and Liam is prince. We do have an increasing number of children are writing more words tan they have written before which is really pleasing to see. There must be lots of practise going on at home. Well done for achieving personal bests: Esther, Iziah, Liam, Luca, Summer F, Summer W, Taylor and Theo.

Welcome back to school 2016

It is great to be back at school. We have had a great first week at school, getting to know each other. It is very hot so remember to put a water bottle in your child's bag.
