Stream visit
We had a wonderful day at Dorothy Falls Stream. We found lots of mayflies, stoneflies, and damselflies under the rocks. Our father helpers netted an eel! Thanks to Lauren from Department of Conservation who showed us how to kick net and helped identify our critters. We had a lovely walk around the Kahikatea Walk at Sunny bight before lunch.
We are learning how to identify fresh water that is safe to drink, and learning how we can help to keep our water clean.
