Experimenting with Surface Tension

Today we did an experiment to look at surface tension. We put milk in a dish, and dropped some food colouring into it. We noticed that the food colouring floated on top of the milk. Then we put dish liquid on to a cotton bud. We dipped the cotton bud into the milk and watched magic happen. Here are some photo's.

    Opal was the same - during bath time she explained all about bubbles and surface tension.
